CBEC announces Presidential Award to 35 officers
The officers of the Customs & Central Excise Department are considered for grant of Presidential Award of Appreciation Certificate for exceptionally meritorious service rendered at the risk of life and specially distinguished record of service on their achieving and maintaining excellence in the discharge of their duties. These awards are announced on the eve of Republic Day. This year 35 officers have been selected for grant of Presidential Award of Appreciation Certificate for β Specially distinguished record of service '.

6th CPC Increment Issue : Settled in the meeting of fourth National Anomaly Committee
βTo grant one increment on 1.1.2006 in the pre-revised scale of pay for all those whose increment falls between 1st Feb and 30th June 2006. This is applicable only for those who were in service as on 1.1.2006. They will draw their next increment in the new Pay Band on 1st July 2006β.

APPEAL
"CONTRIBUTE RS.500/- TO THE LEGAL FUND BY ALL MEMBERS WHO ARE BENEFICIARIES OF ONE INCREMENT AS PER THE DECISION OF THE PAY ANOMALY COMMITTEE AND ALSO ALL THE INSPECTORS WHOSE PAY WILL BE HIKED SOON BY STEPPING UP OF PAY ON THE ISSUE OF SENIOR DRAWING LESS PAY THAN JUNIORS. ALL ARE REQUESTED TO KINDLY PAY THE AMOUNT TO THE UNIT SECRETARIES . FURTHER IT IS REQUESTED TO CONTRIBUTE RS.500 EACH BY ALL INSPECTORS WHO ARE BENEFITTED BY THE INCREASE OF GRADE PAY FROM RS.4200 TO RS. 4600.ALL THESE DECISIONS HAVE COME AFTER THE VIGOROUS FIGHT OF THE ASSOCIATION. KINDLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND WE NEED LEGAL FUND FOR FUTURE ACTIVITIES.
